Multi-objective Truck Scheduling in a Physical Internet Road-Road Cross-docking Hub

Aiming towards a sustainable supply chain, Physical Internet (PI) has been presented as global logistics network with standardized PI-containers. PI-nodes, and more specifically PI-hubs, are one of the key elements concept. This paper focuses on optimising operations in Road-Road PI-hub, which was not addressed literature. PI-hubs designed to transfer PI-containers between suppliers’ customers’ trucks. The objective is minimize both inbound/outbound trucks delays energy consumption during transferring using PI-conveyors. problem formulated multi-objective mixed integer model (MO-MIP) find optimal Pareto front. mathematical tested an illustrative instance show tradeoff trucks’ routing consumption. primary goal this provide prospect start optimizing by suggesting beginning for future researches PI-hubs.
